1. involves the same 12 Zodiac Signs, but they are calculated differently,

2. uses many of the same ‘planets’ but introduces the North Node (called Rahu राहु) and the South Node (called Ketu केतु),

3. emphasizes the Moon & Rising Signs more than the Sun Sign, and

4. analyzes the Moon’s journey across the Lunar Mansions, called nakshatra नक्षत्रम्.
